You can’t spend two decades referring to other men’s daughters as b*tches and hoes, and then somehow decide that your own daughter is going to be exempt from the game. You, my brother, have given nearly every inch of your creative productivity toward murdering your daughter’s self and public image before she was even born. In other words, you brought Blue Ivy Carter into a world where most of your biggest fans will look at her and refer to her not as daddy’s little princess, but instead as a dirty little bitch. In fact, they will even get paid for it.

I had a whole comment written up for this, but then I googled the author of the post and I had to scrap it all because I just can’t…
How can an African American person pin the blame for sexism and misogyny that Blue Ivy Carter will face in her life when she’s a young adult on the music that her father makes. How can they ignore that Beyonce (while not everyone’s cup of tea) has been an inspiration to little Black kids and their families from way back when she was in destiny’s child.
Rap music has a ton of problematic shit, but it’s not the only genre. I’d like to see this person write such a post to the children of rock stars that wrote about their dozens of groupies and the orgies they’d have backstage. Or to the country stars that make their living off of songs that alternate between writing women off as Madonnas or Jezebels.
Why does it always have to be rap music painted as this nasty ass light as though no other kind of music has these issues? And why the hell is this fool acting like no one in Ivy’s family is looking out for her well-being to the point where he has to step in?
I don’t care who she’s going to be when she grows up. Right now, she’s just a fucking baby and he needs to step off with his rude ass.
